In Your Eyes - George Benson

My brother and I just came from our religious weekly gathering. It is our honoring night for all the brithday celebrants of May and one of them is my brother. I have already told you about my brother from my previous post (Stay). Through the kindness of my brothers and sisters in the community, we sang this song to the birthday celebrants. There were four of them (Alma, Aldrin and Analyn are the other celebrants).

It was another chance for me to sing this song after sometime. I remember each time I hear this song, I always have a vision of a child or some kids playing. It's like telling me the kids are the future and the future is for the kids. I know this is a love song, but I remember seeing little children playing with kites, running...

And by the way, in our family, my brother has the prettiest eyes, really! Mine is just prettier ;-)

LYRICS OF THE SONG IN YOUR EYES
George Benson, Regine Velasques (Remake)
I think I finally know you
I can see beyond your smile
I think that I can show you
That what we have is still worthwhile
Don’t you know that love’s
just like the thread
That keeps unravelling but then
It ties us back together in the end

In your eyes, I can see my dream’s reflections
In your eyes, found the answers to my questions
In your eyes, I can see the reasons why our love’s alive
In your eyes, we’re drifting safely back to shore
and I think I’ve finally learned to love you more

You told me that life changes
and that no one really knows
Whether time would make us strangers
Or whether time would make us grow
Even though the winds of time will change
In a world where nothing stays the same
Through it all our love will still remain

In your eyes I can see the reasons why our love’s alive
In your eyes we’re drifting safely back to shore
and I think I’ve finally learned to love you more
