Secret - Heart

Again, I would say, it's been a while since I haven't posted an entry here.

We were on a rigid training in our company and the only time I have on the internet
is when we take our lunch. Of course, I eat first then, hurriedly peek on my blog.

Here is a new song for me. A friend of mine shared this with me.  Although this is a Heart song,
I admit, I am not really familiar with it except that I have heard it before without understanding the lyrics.
In fact, I don't think I gave the lyrics some attention.

So she gave me the lyrics and been kind enough to share with me her mp3 file.  So here is my entry for the day.

It's a nice song, I should say, because it talks about unconditional love, I guess.  I cannot discredit Heart's soul -
the style in his singing is very unique.  That is remarkable.

Well, she said they give tips to the band who could sing this song live.
It made me laugh because although I enter Bar houses with live bands singing, I haven't really tried giving tips. ;-)
Next time, I will. so that is her story ;-)

Now here is the lyrics. Enjoy!

SECRET - HEART

We lead two different lives
Just like two lines that never cross
And here we are together
Standing closer than we are
But we're still standing here untouched
Too scared to make a move

We want so much to touch
And we can't wait forever
Ae know it's dangerous
For us to be together

How do we ever keep this sectet
How do we keep it in the dark
And if we dare to taste our weakness
How could we tear ourselved apart
How do we keep this love together
Didn't we know right from the start
That we would have to keep this secret
Or forever stay apart

I watch you coming to me
Walkin' in the pouring rain
I can't help looking at you
Wishin' i could stay away
So many times i've tried in vain
To close my eyes and pray

It goes away but I can't stop myself from feeling
To let you go would be too much for me to take

I can't help thinking'
When I look into your eyes
How much I need you
It's so hard to hide

When I'm With You - Faber Drive

Here is another contribution from my reader Quisan... please read on.
========================

When I’m With You by Faber Drive
Music tells exactly what I feel whenever I’m hurt, sad, lonely, in love, happy and especially whenever I encounter heartbreaks. It’s the best way to release my emotions to the point that I could hardly explain my feelings to anyone at least I can sing it. For me, music is my life.  Without it I’m like a dead clock that can’t move without its battery. I also define music as my problem absorber ‘coz eventually it turns back the smile on my face.
“When I’m with you” is my all time favorite song since high school, for me this song never gets old. I enjoy it more when I used to sing and played it with my guitar. It became more my favorite when I watched the music video which interprets a sad love story of a couple who meets a car accident which caused death to his girlfriend while her boyfriend is fighting for life. The song really touches my heart and leaves an important lesson to treasure, because every moment that you share your life with your love ones or special one make sure that you don’t hesitate to say or express how much you love him/her because if God took him/her away from you at least there’s no reason to regret.
The most remarkable thought of the lyrics for me is this “whatever it takes
I’m not going to break the promise I made” because for me it really shows that promises are not meant to break, so if I could just use my tears to build a stairway, and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring his girlfriend again.

It Must Have Been Love - Roxette

Alright, this is a nice song. When it comes to melody, it will surely captivate your ears. However the song talks about a lost love... one that just disappears for no reason.

Then I was reminded of a story of my friend who said his love disappeared for the reason that he felt neglected.

In a relationship, sometimes it is nice to feel that one is needed.  It may be too tasking, that is why I said "sometimes" one has to feel that they are needed, especially for the guy who feels that he has to serve his partner as much as he can, as much as he is needed.  You know how guys tend to be protective all the time.  It's not as if being protected means admitting that a woman is weak.  It's probably just nature.

Everyday, most of the decisions are coming from the girl and out of courtesy, the guy gives way.  But it didn't do well between them, at least for the guy. He just though everything would turn out all right but it didn't. Their daily arguments, struggles and decisions in life originated from the girl.  Bravo to the girl for being able to handle relationship.  But relationship is a two-way process.

The girl was too strong, the girl was so sure of what she was doing and the guy, who is so overwhelmed at what the girl could do, didn't feel his existence anymore, much less his importance to her life.

Out of the blue, the guy just said "I am exhausted" - exhausted for trying to capture the girl's attention and be noticed in at least voicing out his feelings.  He was duped into believing that the girl can do it so what is his use?  It even didn't occur to the guy that the women will be hurt.  No inkling at all.

He said goodbye. Goodbye is a hurting phenomenon and he didn't even realize that the woman will surely be hurt. He didn't see it coming, he did not have an idea that a strong woman could actually feel hurt.

It must have been love, they could have been a perfect couple... but it's over now.  Worst, they just parted ways like the never shared love each other.

It is always sad when lovers become enemies.  I myself, cannot understand it. Why?

Lyrics of the song
IT MUST HAVE BEEN LOVE

Lay a whisper on my pillow
Leave the winter on the ground
I wake up lonely, is there a silence
In the bedroom and all around

Touch me now, I close my eyes
And dream away...

It must have been love, but it's over now
It must have been good, but I lost it somehow
It must have been love, but it's over now
From the moment we touched till the time had run out

Make believing we're together
That I'm sheltered by your heart
But in and outside I turn to water
Like a teardrop in your palm

And it's a hard winter's day
I dream away...

It must have been love, but it's over now
It was all that I wanted, now I'm living without
It must have been love, but it's over now
It's where the water flows, it's where the wind blows

It must have been love, but it's over now
It must have been good, but I lost it somehow
It must have been love, but it's over now
From the moment we touched till the time had run out

You Don't Know Me - Ray Charles

This song popped up when I saw an old photo of him. I just admired him that time and I was treated so specially that when he said goodbye, I knew it would break my heart. It did.

I've been searching for him and found out he's now a married guy and a very successful person. All I want now is to let him know I still care for him and happy for what he has achieved in life.

YOU DON'T KNOW ME

You give your hand to me
And then you say, "Hello"
And I can hardly speak
My heart is beating so
And anyone can tell
You think you know me well
Well, you don't know me no

No you don't know the one
Who dreams of you each night
And longs to kiss your lips
And longs to hold you tight
To you I'm just a friend
That's all I've ever been
No you don't know me

I never knew the art of making love
Though my heart aches with love for you, yeah
Afraid and shy, I let my chance go by
A chance that you might love me too

You give your hand to me
And then you say, "Goodbye"
And I watched you walk away
Beside the lucky guy
No you'll never ever know
The one who loved you so
No you don't know me

But I never knew the art of making love
Though my heart aches with love for you
I'm afraid and shy, I let my chance go by
A chance that you might love me too

You give your hand to me
And then you say, "Goodbye"
And I watched you walk away
Beside the lucky guy
Oh, you'll never ever know
The one who loved you so
No you don't know me

I say you never ever know
The one who loved you so
No you don't know me
No you don't love me

TATAK EDSA - 25 years after

I want to share this article by Ed Sicam I read from Yahoo! Philippines.

This is the first time I am borrowing an article from another writer and I intended nothing but sharing his article for wider dissemination.

February 25, 2011 marks the 25th anniversary of the People Power revolution at EDSA that ousted a dictator. To mark the occasion, ABS-CBN has been airing a music video using a rearranged version of Jim Paredes’s composition “Handog ng Pilipino sa Mundo” with Martin Nievera, Gary V, Zsa Zsa Padilla, Vina Morales, Erik Santos, Piolo Pascual, Christian Bautista, Toni Gonzaga, Sam Milby, Juris, Aiza Seguerra, Yeng Constantino and Jovit Baldivino providing the vocals.

It’s interesting to note that aside from the first four names on this list and Piolo, who was already nine years old, the rest were mere toddlers during the EDSA phenomenon. Jovit was not even born yet.

The almost four-minute video is a glossy production that includes stock footage from the 1986 event and scenes specially shot for the occasion. One frame shows a listing of several countries who were influenced by our brand of People Power. The singers perform in front of colorful banners that capture the celebratory mood of the video. Gary V, Martin and Christian easily shone over the others.

I liked the introduction of kids joining the singing in a garden setting. Who knows, 25 years from now, they may still be around to observe the 50th year of EDSA 1. What almost destroyed my appreciation for the Kapamilya project was the use of a few notes from the ABS-CBN jingle at the end of the video. Well, the network spent for this production so let’s give it to them

I spoke to “Handog’s” composer two days ago and asked him to go back in time and recall how this anthem was created. Jim said it took him around three minutes to compose the song sometime in March when the euphoria over the triumph at Edsa was still at its peak. He explained that the idea for the song was probably gestating inside him months before Feb. 25. So when he sat down and played the first few notes on the piano, the melody and the lyrics just started rushing in:

‘Di na 'ko papayag mawala ka muli.
'Di na 'ko papayag na muli mabawi,
Ating kalayaan kay tagal natin mithi.
'Di na papayagang mabawi muli.

All the way to the song’s conclusion:

Mapayapang paraang pagbabago.
Katotohanan, kalayaan, katarungan.
Ay kayang makamit na walang dahas.
Basta't magkaisa tayong lahat!

The lyrics that stood out for me was “Kay sarap palang maging Pilipino.” which was how almost everyone felt back in ’86.

After finishing the song, he brought it to Apo’s recording company, WEA Records, which was putting together an album of patriotic songs. “Handog” was going to be the carrier single. Jim then invited singers who were identified with EDSA--Apo’s Danny Javier and Buboy Garrovillo, CelesteLegaspi, Kuh Ledesma, Ivy Violan, Subas Herrero, Noel Trinidad, Becky Demetillo, Edru Abraham, Lester Demetillo, Joseph Olfindo, Inang Laya, Coritha and Eric -- to record the song. Except for a few names, not exactly a star-studded line-up but it was their convictions that mattered. Kris Aquino, a bubbly teeny-bopper then, surprised everyone when she showed up at the studio.

Jim had also asked respected film director Mike de Leon to shoot a music video. He had worked with Mike before in the movie, “Kung Mangarap Ka’t Magising.” What Mike came up with was a simple low-budget film tracing the Filipino’s struggle for independence against the Spaniards, the Americans, the Japanese and then later the Marcos dictatorship. There were shots of heroes like Jose Rizal, Andres Bonifacio and Apolinario Mabini then later prominent figures who fought Marcos like Jose Diokno, Lorenzo TaƱada, Joker Arroyo, Rene Saguisag Joe Burgos and of course, Ninoy and Cory Aquino.

Jim admits that he was influenced by the music video “We Are the World” by the USA for Africa where several pop singers sang the composition of Michael Jackson and Lionel Richie. The “Handog” music video was played so many times on TV that year and years and decades later, several versions have surfaced on YouTube including the latest one by ABS-CBN.

Forever Young - Alphaville

Forever Young is one of a kind song. The words are right there so. There is no confusing what the meaning of this song. This is all about in our life. It tells that if we want to Live forever? It shows that life is so precious. Forever young is my all time favorite. This Song is very amazing. The lyrics and version of this song is very great. I want to stay young forever. I always be forever young. I dedicated this song to my beloved friends and especially to myself.

I love this song because this song reminds me of all the good and bad times I’ve had in my past. This song reminds me in so many ways. It brings back some childhood memories and feelings. I don’t associate this song to my love life as I was so young but when this became popular I feel emotional when I hear it. Every time I hear it I feel so sad. This Song always makes me cry because it reminds me a very important person in my life. I love this song very much probably one of the best ever song to me. I wish I could be forever young. I remember my past to this song, memories of my past.

I hope that every one of us want to be forever young like me .

==MangaBe==

Here is the lyrics:

Let's dance in style, lets dance for a while
Heaven can wait we're only watching the skies
Hoping for the best but expecting the worst
Are you going to drop the bomb or not?
Let us die young or let us live forever
We don't have the power but we never say never
Sitting in a sandpit, life is a short trip
The music's for the sad men
Can you imagine when this race is won
Turn our golden faces into the sun
Praising our leaders we're getting in tune
The music's played by the madman

Forever young, i want to be forever young
Do you really want to live forever, forever forever
Forever young, i want to be forever young
Do you really want to live forever
Forever young

Some are like water, some are like the heat
Some are a melody and some are the beat
Sooner or later they all will be gone
Why don't they stay young
It's so hard to get old without a cause
I don't want to perish like a fading horse
Youth is like diamonds in the sun
And diamonds are forever
So many adventures couldn't happen today
So many songs we forgot to play
So many dreams are swinging out of the blue
We let them come true

Forever young, i want to be forever young
Do you really want to live forever, forever forever
Forever young, i want to be forever young
Do you really want to live forever forever forever
Forever young, i want to be forever young
Do you really want to live forever, forever forever
Forever young, i want to be forever

Going Home

Here is an entry from a fellow blogger. I am thankful she acceded to my request of re-posting her music story here. Somehow, I got to feel the emotion surrounding her story but I wouldn't claim to fully understand it because as we all know, one will never know the feeling until you are actually in it. That's one thing I learned, and I upheld from one of my pre-Law courses.

You might also want to visit her music blog site. It's really nice, I get to learn a lot of classical music and songs, one can truly appreciate!

Here is the link and the full story below:

===========================

My mother liked classical music in a basic sense, but her taste ran more toward popular music. My love for classical music and opera (adored by her father) was not passed from my mom to me, was developed on my own. It was interesting to share that appreciation with her after she retired and moved to Oregon. I got her to some symphonies but never an opera. In the final weeks of her life I played classical music (and easy listening instrumentals) that I found soothing and assumed that she did also. But it wasn't until one day I put an old Marty Robbins record on the stereo in her family room that I returned to her bedroom to see her face changed to a happy dreaminess. "Love it, love it, love it," she said emphatically.

It is precisely because her interest in classical music took a backseat to other musical forms that I can easily recall her favorite selections. She told me when I was a child that her mother loved "Going Home" and would hum it around the house when she was a girl, which she in turn did for me. She said it was composed by Dvorak, and I remember being somewhat confused that there were words to a classical piece. (See below that the tune was likely a spiritual that Dvorak liked and adapted for the symphony*) It was years later that I listened to the entire symphony with its wordless 2nd movement, but of course whenever I hear it I think of that part as one of the songs my mother taught me.

She died in 2000 on this day and we had her memorial service a few weeks later. Going Home was not among songs on tape that were played over the speakers in the funeral home, although as I read information for this post I realized it is a favorite at funerals.

Less than a year after her death, September 11 happened and I was so grateful that my mother with the "Pollyanna" outlook on life did not have to endure the shock that the rest of us lived through together. Only a few days later, The Oregon Symphony was scheduled to perform at The Oregon Garden here in Silverton, a final toast to summer and the ending of the 2001 outdoor concert series. Michael and I had tickets and we went to the concert with some trepidation (remember those early days after 9-11 when we were unsure of the safety of being in large gatherings?).

The setting for the outdoor concerts there is so lovely. Concert-goers sit (in low lawn chairs only) in a grassy bowl facing where the setting sun is seen through an oak grove behind the stage.

We were advised at the outset of the concert that we could not depend on the program that had been printed prior to 9-11. The conductor was changing some music commensurate with that moment in time. I remember only the final piece -- Dvorak's 9th Symphony, 2nd Movement: Going Home. Michael and I held hands, and as we did I felt so close to my mother. I sat there in awe of the punch of color tracing the coast range in the distance. Did I cry? I do not remember. Many did. The many, who shared the surreal beauty of the song being offered up to the old oaks and the sunset and the ether. It was all we had to give. And such tenderness to take.

The YOUTUBE link is here.

Information on this video at youtube: "Fantastic perfomance by the Norwegian star Sissel. Singing this wonderful tune of Dvorak. This is Largo from Symphony Of A New World."

Going Home - lyrics (Words by William Arms Fisher)

Going home, going home
I'm just going home
Quiet light, some still day
I'm just going home
It's not far, just close by
Through an open door
Work all done, care laid by
Going to fear no more
Mother's there expecting me
Father's waiting, too
Lots of folk gathered there
All the friends I knew
All the friends I knew
I'm going home
Nothing's lost, all's gain
No more fret nor pain
No more stumbling on the way
No more longing for the day
Going to roam no more
Morning star lights the way
Restless dream all done
Shadows gone, break of day
Real life begun
There's no break, there's no end
Just a living on
Wide awake with a smile
Going on and on
Going home, going home
I'm just going home
It's not far, just close by
Through an open door
I am going home
I'm just going home
Going home, going home
[Repeat]

Bawat Bata - Apo Hiking Society

This is a story about Juliet (not her real name). She was still a kid when she experienced difficulty dealing with people. We started our correspondence when I was still a teacher. I recalled her story when we were discussing about a law on Violence Against Women and Children (VAWC). I can't help but sympathize with her plight.

She was a victim of child molestation and growing up with that predicament, she said going to school was difficult especially when their subject is about Biology or physical education or anything that tackles body organs of reproduction or sex. During discussion, she cannot understand the teacher because all she hears was the loud beating of her heart. It was uncomfortable talking about sex, according to her. She knows she is different from every girl in the classroom because her puberty experience was a deviation from normal. She knew this because she had that sad experience from a drug addict relative.

She never told me the name of that person but I know it was someone dear to her or her family. She never had real girl friends because she doesn't want to be confronted with girl talks about the opposite sex and anything that goes with such topics. It was just uncomfortable.

Now, putting myself into her situation... I find it hard but I realized that her experience prevented her from getting in touch with reality, with relationships. I wonder how she is right now.

If only children were fully protected...

...and here is a song relevant to this blog:

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Bawat Bata (Every child/Each Kid)

Ang bawat bata sa ating mundo (Each kid in this world)
Ay may pangalan may karapatan (has a name, has rights)
Tumatanda ngunit bata parin (they grow old but remains a kid)
Ang bawat tao sa ating mundo (Each person in this world)

Hayaan mo’ng maglaro ang bata sa araw (Let the kid play under the sun)
At pag-umulan nama’y magtatampisaw (And in rain let them get wet)
Mahirap man o may kaya, maputi, kayumanggi (Whether poor or wealthy, white or brown/tan)
At kahit ano ma’ng uri ka pa (And whatever kind are you)
Sa’yo mundo pag bata ka (World is yours if you're a kid)

Ang bawat bata sa ating mundo (Each kid in this world)
Ay may pangalan may karapatan (has a name, has rights)
Tumatanda ngunit bata parin (they grow old but remains a kid)
Ang bawat tao sa ating mundo (Each person in this world)

Ang bawat nilikha sa mundo’y (Each creature in this world)
Minamahal ng Panginoon (is loved by the God)
Ang bawat bata’y may pangalan (Each kid has a name)
May karapatan sa ating mundo (Has rights in this world)

Hayaang mong bigyan na ng pagmamahal (Let them be given love)
Katulad nang sinadya ng may kapal (Like God has intended)
Mahirap man o may kaya, maputi, kayumanggi (Whether poor, wealthy, white, brown)
At kahit ano ma’ng uri ka pa (And whatever kind are you)
Sa’yo mundo pag bata ka (World is yours if you're a kid)

Hayaan mo’ng maglaro ang bata sa araw
At pag-umulan nama’y magtatampisaw
Mahirap man o may kaya, maputi, kayumanggi
At kahit ano ma’ng uri ka pa
Sa’yo mundo pag bata ka(4x)

Ang bawat bata sa ating mundo
Ay may pangalan may karapatan
Tumatanda ngunit bata parin
Ang bawat tao sa ating mundo

Ang bawat nilikha sa mundo’y
Minamahal ng Panginoon
Ang bawat bata’y may pangalan
May karapatan sa ating mundo…….

I Need You - America

Thank you raimster16 for this story:

Hi there! I read your blog and I wanted to share to you my story about this song by America.

My experience with this song is very sad because that is when my boyfriend left me after 7 years of being together. I want to seek revenge but I cannot do it. He was so dear to me because he knows me inside and out. He knows when I want to cry and why I want to cry. I wanted to tell him that I need him, not as my boyfriend or someone intimate but someone who knows me, someone I can cry on and someone I can feel genuine affection. I know he’s a very happy soon-to-be-married man and I want him to stay that way. I hope he can read this so that he will know that I need him and when he comes to me, I will embrace him with my two hands because I just needed him beside me. Last night we talked and I never told him about this song but now my heart is singing it out for me.

I know I was hurt when he left me. I am still hurting until now and I can’t forget how he hurt me. I will not try to win him back. I just want him to be there for me when I need him. And I guess he promised he will.

“I just need you.”

We used to laugh, we used to cry
We used to bow our heads then, wonder why
And now you're gone, I guess I'll carry on
And make the best of what you've left to me
Left to me, left to me
I need you like the flower needs the rain
You know I need you,
guess I'll start it all again
You know I need you like the winter needs the spring
You know I need you,
I need you
And every day, I'd laugh the hours away
Just knowing you were thinking of me
And then it came that I was put to blame
For every story told about me
About me, about me
I need you like the flower needs the rain
You know I need you,
guess I'll start it all again You know I need you,
I need you
I need you like the winter needs the spring
You know I need you, guess
I'll start it all again
You know I need you,
I need you...

Isn’t it nice when after ending the relationship, you are still good friends? -0-

The Gift - Jim Brickman

A post was sent to me via email. The sender is "oNe lOvE"

Here it goes for better view:

Everyone has one Special Gift that stands out from among the rest. It may have taken God for so long to prepare me this gift, but no regrets for He has picked up and given me the Best and most Precoius gift one has always prayed for...and it's worth all the wait!

This song reminds me how precious and special I am in God's eyes that despite of my disobedience to Him, He has given the gift of this person...I can share and spend the rest of my life with.

To restore oneself from a painful past caused by broken relationships is a great challenge, but it was made easy with the presence of this person...i can consider a gift....and I'm thankful everyday for the GIFT!

Such a lucky person! Well, goodluck to you and may you be together in spirit, in time and in space! Til Death do you part! Thanks for sharing one love! I took the liberty of searching the lyrics and audio (Sarah Geronimo version):

Winter snow is falling down
Children laughing all around
Lights are turning on
Like a fairy tale come true
Sitting by the fire we made
You're the answer when i prayed
I would find someone
And baby i found you

All i want is to hold you forever
All i need is you more every day
You saved my heart
From being broken apart
You gave your love away
And i'm thankful every day
For the gift

Watching as you softly sleep
What i'd give if i could keep
Just this moment
If only time stood still
But the colors fade away
And the years will make us grey
But baby in my eyes
You'll still be beautiful

All i want is to hold you forever
All i need is you more every day
You saved my heart
From being broken apart
You gave your love away
And i'm thankful every day
For the gift
(instrumental)

All i want is to hold you forever
All i need is you more every day
You saved my heart
From being broken apart
You gave your love away
I can't find the words to say
That i'm thankful every day
For the gift

Love Moves in Mysterious Ways - Julia Fordham

A story from my friend Ryan.

This is an original by Julia Fordham then later on revived by Nina (a singer from the Philippines). I have always loved the lyrics of the song when I was still in college. I believe this song hit the airwaves mid-90s. I have always loved the rhythm, the lyrics and the slow pace of the song.

After more that 10 years, I was reminded of this song again when my ex-girlfriend (who is now my wife) and I got back together despite a long distance relationship. I know there was a mystery there. I left my hometown, got a good job and tried to forget the past, move on and tried to find someone new, but nothing happened. I believe it is impossible to happen but it did! It just happened. We're happily together!

Truly, love moves in mysterious ways!

All Things Are Possible - Darlene Zschech

From
Photobucket

"There are plenty of songs that I consider my favorites - from soul, r&b to gospel, among others. I like "All Things Are Possible" by Darlene Zschech and "Way Back into Love" from the movie Music and Lyrics. I like "All Things Are Possible" most of all because my life story so far has been about situations that I could not imagine coming true... from sickness back to health, from my son's fatal accident to his survival , from difficult situations to answered prayers, because the bottom line to it all is believing that He exists and makes all things possible =)"

All Things Are Possible - Darlene Zschech

Almighty God my redeemer
My hiding place my safe refuge, no other name like Jesus
No power can stand against You.

My feet are planted on this rock
And I will not be shaken
My hope it comes from You alone
My Lord and my salvation

Your praise is always on my lips
Your word is living in my heart
And I will praise You with a new song, My soul will bless You Lord

You fill my life with greater joy
Yes I delight myself in You
And I will praise You with a new song, My soul will bless You, Lord

When I am weak, you make me strong
When I'm poor, I know I'm rich for in the power of Your name
All things are possible
All things are possible
All things are possible
All things are possible

November Rain - Guns N Roses

From KGBdaaarling of Yahoo!

I've always believed nothing lasts forever, and my boyfriend got mad when he read that in my diary one day, but "nothing lasts forever, not even cold november rain" means that even the bad things subside.

Also, this was a difficult time for me & my bf, and listening to it just gave me a different outlook on the situation. =)

November rain - Guns n roses

When I look into your eyes
I can see a love restrained
But darlin' when I hold you
Don't you know I feel the same
'Cause nothin' lasts forever
And we both know hearts can change
And it's hard to hold a candle
In the cold November rain
We've been through this such a long long time
Just tryin' to kill the pain
But lovers always come and lovers always go
An no one's really sure who's lettin' go today
Walking away
If we could take the time to lay it on the line
I could rest my head
Just knowin' that you were mine
All mine
So if you want to love me
then darlin' don't refrain
Or I'll just end up walkin'
In the cold November rain

Do you need some time...on your own
Do you need some time...all alone
Everybody needs some time...on their own
Don't you know you need some time...all alone
I know it's hard to keep an open heart
When even friends seem out to harm you
But if you could heal a broken heart
Wouldn't time be out to charm you

Sometimes I need some time...on my
own Sometimes I need some time...all alone
Everybody needs some time...on their own
Don't you know you need some time...all alone

And when your fears subside
And shadows still remain, ohhh yeahhh
I know that you can love me
When there's no one left to blame
So never mind the darkness
We still can find a way
'Cause nothin' lasts forever
Even cold November rain

Don't ya think that you need somebody
Don't ya think that you need someone
Everybody needs somebody
You're not the only one
You're not the only one

As Tears Go By - The Rolling Stones

As Tears Go By - The Rolling Stones

It's like this many years ago aroung 1968 the first girl I really fell in love with was singing this song around a bonfire while 40 to 50 people sat and listened in a trance. Her voice was like a angel coming from the midnight on a warm summer night. I went with this girl for a few years. Then one day I just walked away don't know why. That's why tha song still haunts me in a good way

As Tears Go By - Rolling Stones

It is the evening of the day
I sit and watch the children play
Smiling faces I can see
But not for me
I sit and watch
As tears go by

My riches cant buy everything
I want to hear the children sing
All I hear is the sound
Of rain falling on the ground
I sit and watch
As tears go by

It is the evening of the day
I sit and watch the children play
Doin things I used to do
They think are new
I sit and watch
As tears go by
