MY SOLACE IN YOUR SONG

I look to where the voice is coming from
I look for you followed not for a frown
But with a heart that’s delighted with your song
A love song I haven’t heard for so very long.

Your song would paint a smile in my face
My heart that’s wanting in music’s embrace

Could it be that I am in love again.  I could feel love songs when I hear one. I could relate to a love story when I see one.  This ain't a mellow song, an old song even, but as soon as I heard it, there's only one person in my mind. That special person I have been talking about and thinking of 24/7!

This reminded me of a band singer in one of my adventures, together with a special friend of mine, in one of the Bars that we've been.  Me and this special friend of mine had a lot in common: beer, bar, band, travel and music, just to name a few.  And so in the midst of our sober moments in that bar, with all our topics exhausted, we got caught by this band singer (she's a background dancer and singer at the same time, or so we thought).  

She was just dancing and lip-syncing the songs.  If it was her turn to sing, she forgets most of the lyrics.  At first sight, we knew she was just a newbie in the business.  She gave us a lot of laugh that we forgot her performance was annoying.  We appreciated her effort though.  We knew she was giving her best... or perhaps of what's left of her energy for that performance night.

Well, the night went by so fast and that moment was very funny for me.  Very entertaining indeed!  By the way, I forgot to mention that the food was nice too... or perhaps, when you are so in love, everything just seemed to be right all along.  This is the reason I blogged about this song, which is not really a love song, but the lovely memory it brings.

This is a song I thought an original of Jose Marie Chan. Nevertheless, i love the song. I sang this with my sister and it made us just fall in love all over again.  It is a nice videoke piece I think. And she can't disagree!

Here is a love song I heard just recently.  This is about commitment, growing old with a loved one.

I always believed that relationships involve investment - in time, effort, feelings including future.  I just want to delve into that thinking for now.  It is always nice to look forward but what if something happens along the way?  At least we got today - which we call the PRESENT - so let's grasp it while we still have the feeling.

SHADOW DANCE
