Ako'y Iyong Iyo - Ogie Alcasid

Another entry from Ogie Alcasid's relatively old song with an upbeat theme. I think I was in elementary when I heard this song.

This song talks about a boyfriend who fooled his girlfriend and now he is asking for forgiveness with a promise that there is no one else important in his life than her.

I just enjoyed the fast phase of this song without really paying attention to all of its lyrics. All I knew back then was that the singer was pledging all his love to his partner. I didn't know yet about temptation and everything.

Now that I am in the right age, I now know the full meaning of the song. It makes me think... if your lover made a mistake or cheated on you, can you still forgive them?

Well, I was cheated on... and I did manage to forgive. It made my heart lighter... how about you?
